Hiver 2004-2005, la Tchétchénie entame sa dixième année de conflit, le plus long, le moins visible, le plus oublié d’Europe. Petit territoire d’une superficie équivalente à celle de la Haute Normandie, la Tchétchénie a survécu à deux invasions russes. La campagne de terreur à l’encontre de la population et le nombre de disparitions ont pris de telles proportions que les organismes chargés de veiller au respect des droits de l’homme parlent aujourd’hui de "crime contre l’humanité". Heidi Bradner est l’une des rares photographes à avoir couvert le conflit tchétchène depuis le début. Cette exposition reprend l’ensemble de ses travaux auprès de ce peuple qui, depuis dix ans, traverse un cauchemar.
